Susan Maxwell Stewart
i am a radio presenter, writer, juggler and carer
|I believe working in my own business for years has helped me cope with all sorts of situations and will help me in a co-ordinating role in Administration and Key Skills. Hands on manageress to a busy shop and wholesale department, Stock control, liaising with International, corporate and national customers, arranging shipments, packaging and dispatch, Overseeing staff and working to tight deadlines will enable me to adapt to most situations.
I have been involved in many volunteer jobs in the community as well as having a full time job and being a parent. such as working in a community centre at Stoneham Park with children, teenagers, out of work adults, silver surfers as well as other exciting projects. I have been voted as volunteer of the year and sent down to Downing Street in 2008 as an accolade. Here is a list of some of the voluntary jobs I have done in Brighton and Hove I have not mentioned my early volunteer work in Hackney, Tottenham and Stoke Newington
I am very interested in life and am very active. My hobbies include:
Violin playing, music technology, Belly Dancing, Paleontology, Photography, Water colour landscapes, reading books, writing scripts and poetry
I have been involved in all sorts of voluntary projects including setting up 3 radio stations and still involved in Brighton and Hove Community Radio as a director and working and training in Media for 9 years now and really enjoying using my interpersonal skills.
I believe in an equal opportunity for all and the Ofsted "every child matters" I am passionate about this and soon realised when teaching after I graduated from Goldsmiths 1979 and taught in several
special needs schools in Hackney how relevant this was even way back then. When I was working for Oddballs part of my job was performing as a clown, juggler and unicylist and this is an inbuilt philosophy linked with all aspects of my life. I do believe in giving all people a chance to excel
