William Harrison Ainsworth (1805 - 1882)

English Historical Novelist, lived in Brighton.

William Harrison Ainsworth was born in Manchester on February 4th 1805. He moved to Brighton in 1854.

He wrote many novels although the one with the strongest Brighton connection was 'Ovingdean Grange A Tale of the South Downs'.
