Books

For over thirty years, QueenSpark has helped people in Brighton and Hove tell their stories and has published over eighty books. Now, with Heritage Lottery funding we have archived our collection and are continuing to add new publications in our endeavour to preserve our heritage and make collections more accessible.

Our approach has been to source a copy of each book for the Local History Centre of Brighton Museum and to create a printable catalogue and this online archive. You can view it in two ways:

CATALOGUE
Browse our catalogue of published books, buy them, or if they're out of print vote for a re-print.

buyThis symbol means that a book is in stock and you can add it to your shopping trolley or you can purchase it by mail order. Please add £2.00 postage per book and make your cheque (in pounds sterling) payable to QueenSpark Books Limited.

voteMany of our most popular books are out of print, but you can vote for them to be re-printed by clicking on your voting card and watching it disappear. We'll be keeping a close eye on which books are targets for re-prints!

CONTENT SEARCH
Search inside the books and gain valuable insights into an engaging history of the first half of twentieth century Brighton and Hove, as told by a generation of mainly working-class people - a very useful function for researchers.
