| edition | Following the appointment of our latest director, John Riches, we launched a new style newsletter in October 2004 in which we announced a series of exciting developments including a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to archive our collection and the initiation of a major project to document some of the lesser-reported faiths in the city. This first issue also included a page, now a regular feature, on the My Brighton and Hove website, Brighton and Hove's living history. |

| edition | The QueenSpark June 2005 newsletter confirmed our securement of two-year funding from Arts Council England's Grants for the Arts programme. It also welcomed Sarah Hutchings, our new Marketing and Readership Manager and featured Alt-History the result of a writing competition to create fictional 'histories' of Brighton and Hove based around real places and events from the city’s recent and distant past. |

| edition | In October 2005 we announced that Buki projects had joined QueenSpark in order to co-ordinate the Archive Education Pack - and, of course, we promoted our 2006 calendar! We also launched a sequel to Alt-History - a new competition to create a book entitled Alt-Future comprising of fictional futures as imagined by 'creative' residents of this creative city. |
